Life after Wymsical..?

For most of our glorious Wymsies, Wymsical Theatre is a fun and exciting hobby which encourages confidence and builds transferable skills through performance.

But for some former students, Wymsical Theatre is merely a stepping stone on the way to greater things.

We have former Wymsies who have gone on to train at Central School of Speech & Drama, Royal Academy of Music, Trinity Laban College, Urdang, Royal Welsh Conservatoire, Italia Conti, Leeds Conservatoire, Arts Ed and Bird College.

We are inordinately proud of all of our Wymsies and wish them all the best for their futures!

Elizabeth Jones

Lizzie has just finished an Acting foundation year at Italia Conti where she surprised herself by composing a musical for her group’s end of year show ‘Soul Of a Sailor Man’ and discovering the confident actor-musician she didn’t know she had inside!

Thanks to this course and Wymsical Theatre’s unique and specialised training, Lizzie is commencing studies at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on her dream course, Acting with Musical Theatre’.

Lizzie joined forces with Stephen and Pammy over six years ago, performing in Crazy For You‘, ‘The Desert Song‘, countless wonderful wymsical showcases and playing Nicki Harris in Curtains!’ Wymsical showed Lizzie the wonderful and obscure musicals in the world which helped immensely with auditions and theatre knowledge and genuinely ignited a huge passion in Lizzie that will only continue to soar.

Lizzie cannot wait for the next exciting chapter of her theatrical life and can’t wait for Wymsical Theatre to inspire all the future dreamers that walk through the door!

Issy Khogali

Issy’s journey into musical theatre began at the age of 3, when she started ballet lessons. She subsequently went on to perform, compete, and win medals at the All England Dance Championships in London. After commencing singing lessons, her journey continued and she became a member of the Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Youth Society (WODYS). Following on from that, she became one of the original members of Wymsical. It was here that she gained confidence and experience in all aspects of performing, and was given many opportunities which enabled her to successfully audition for a place at the Guildford School of Acting (GSA) on their Musical Theatre foundation course. After a year of gaining more confidence, life experience and audition preparation, she was thrilled to gain a place on the BA Musical Theatre course at her dream school, ‘Arts Educational Schools London’ where she is currently training.

Harry Ryan

Harry trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on the BA Acting (Musical Theatre) course. Whilst training, his credits include: Macduff in Macbeth, Valentine in Love For Love, and a gender flipped version of Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown the Musical (referred to as ‘Pennington Pennywise’ by the cast). Since graduating amidst a global pandemic, Harry has lent his vocal talents to a number of voiceover projects, including Harpy Productions’ My Father Punished Me When I Talked To Ghosts, described as “Powerful and heart wrenching” on Promotehorror.com

Ella Sutton

Ella’s relationship with the Wymsical team began 12 years ago. She quickly caught the bug for performing and never looked back. Ella was one of the original members of Wymsical and cherishes everything she learned from the experiences that Wymsical gave her. Ella played the role of Georgia in Wymsical’s first book musical, ‘Curtains’. Ella has also featured as Wednesday in ‘The Addams Family - The Musical’, Millie in ‘Seven Brides for Seven Brothers’, Polly in ‘Crazy For you’ and most recently - before Covid-19 - was meant to be originating the lead role of Cass in the brand new musical ‘Flower Cutters’ at the Birmingham Hippodrome. Ella is about to begin her second year of training at the Urdang Academy, London. Ella is absolutely thrilled to be living in London and studying something she loves so much. She feels that without Wymsical, she would not be pursuing her dream.
